"ROHIT SHARMA CAN BECOME THE GREATEST EVER INDIAN CRICKETER":
SAYS SHANE WARNE
|
Former Australian leg-spinner and the captain of Rajasthan
Royals, Shane Warne, has said that India’s young middle-order batsman, Rohit
Sharma, has the potential to become the greatest cricketer India has ever
produced. This is an extra-ordinary compliment by Warne considering the fact that
India has produced a number of legends in the sport like Sachin Tendulkar,
Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble.Warne said that Rohit
is immensely talented and it’s all about working on his mental side. He feels
that the right hander can become a true match-winner for India and one of the
best cricketers produced by this huge population."Rohit Sharma has got all
the talent in the world, if he could just get his mind right and get his
attitude right. He could be a match-winner, world beater and one of the best
Indian cricketers ever, he has got that much talent," said Warne. Sharma
is currently representing Mumbai Indians in the fourth edition of the Indian
Premier League and is amongst the top performers of the tournament so far. Rohit
is playing amongst some of the legends of the game as Sachin Tendulkar, Lasith
Malinga and Andrew Symonds also play for the same franchise.Warne added that it
is a great opportunity for Rohit to take as much advice as possible from the
batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. Leg spinner said that Rohit should spend
maximum time with Tendulkar and should take little-masters help in adjusting to
different conditions.
